Refund Policy
Effective Date: 10th July 2025
At Mark of the Initiate (MOTI) we are committed to providing high-quality spiritual services to our customers. However, as our services are provided digitally and tailored to each individual, we do not generally offer refunds. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued, in compliance with UK consumer protection laws.

1. General Refund Policy
As per UK law, digital services provided and consumed (such as tarot readings or spiritual consultations) are exempt from the right to a refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, once the service has been fully performed. Therefore, we do not offer refunds for services that have been booked, paid for, and delivered, including services provided via phone, video call, or email.

2. Booking Errors (Wrong Time Zone Selection)
We understand that mistakes can happen when booking an appointment, especially regarding time zone selections. If you make a mistake when booking your appointment, please contact us immediately at markoftheinitiate@gmail.com
We will make every reasonable effort to assist you in either rescheduling your appointment or assigning a different reader, depending on availability.
Please note that no refunds will be issued in these circumstances, but we will provide as much support as possible to accommodate a change to your booking.

3. Consumer Rights and Exceptions
In accordance with UK consumer law, you have certain rights to a refund, repair, or replacement for services that are:
-
Not as described: If the service you receive does not match the description provided on our website or during the booking process, you may be entitled to a refund or redress.
-
Faulty or inadequate: If the service provided is deemed inadequate or faulty, we will assess the issue and work with you to find a suitable resolution, which may include a partial or full refund.
If you are dissatisfied with a service received, please contact us within 14 days of the delivery of the service, outlining the issue. We will review your request and, if appropriate, offer a refund or alternative solutions.

4. Cancellation of Services
Once an appointment has been confirmed and paid for, cancellations are not eligible for a refund. However, we will offer to reschedule the appointment if you provide notice at least 48 hours before the scheduled time.
If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, no refund will be issued, but we will do our best to assist with rescheduling.

5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us as soon as possible via:
-
Email: markoftheinitiate@gmail.com
You will need to provide your order details, including your booking reference, name, and reason for requesting the refund.
Once your request has been received, we will investigate the issue and, if eligible, process your refund. If a refund is issued, it will be processed to the original payment method used for the booking.

6. Refund Processing Time
If your refund request is approved, we aim to process it within 10 working days. Please note that the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may depend on the payment method and the policies of your payment provider.
7. Non-Refundable Services
The following services are non-refundable:
-
Any services that have already been completed or are in progress (e.g., tarot readings, consultations).
-
Services purchased that fall outside the scope of our general offerings (e.g., custom orders, special events).
-
Services that have been delivered as agreed upon in the booking process.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe you have a valid claim.
