MOTI Courses

🌟 Grow With MOTI: The Mark of the Initiate Journey

At MOTI, we cultivate our own professionals whether in tarot, mediumship, or other spiritual practices.

 

To become an Associate with MOTI, all practitioners must complete The Mark of the Initiate journey, led by our Director, Daemon Van Terra, with guidance from his dedicated mentee, George Sewell.

 

The path is structured around four progressive modules designed to deepen your skill, integrity, and spiritual alignment.

  • Module 1 is open to all and serves as your introduction to the core principles and practices.

  • To continue into Modules 2, 3, and 4, you must receive a personal invitation from our Initiate Director, based on your readiness, resonance, and commitment to the craft.

 

This is more than a course — it’s a rite of passage.

  • Weekly readings and practical assignments to complete and reflect on

  • A blend of teaching, mentorship, and peer exchange designed to challenge and empower

01 - The Basics

Module

Foundation in the tarot system: Minor Arcana, Court Cards, and Major Arcana.

Focus: Building fluency in the cards themselves, including elemental associations and structure.

Weeks 1–6:

• The Tarot as a Language – Cards as words, sentences, and stories

• The Minor Arcana – Elemental structure and everyday symbolism

• The Court Cards – Archetypes, personality, and dynamics

• The Major Arcana – The Fool’s Journey & universal themes

• Deck Energy & Consecration – Attunement, grounding, and clearing

• Elemental Tarot – Fire, Water, Earth, and Air in practice

02 - Becoming a Professional Reader

Module 

Skill-building for reading with confidence and clarity for others.

Focus: Intuition, reversals, ethics, and establishing a professional foundation.

Weeks 7–12:

• Spreads as Conversations – How cards speak to each other

• Strengthening Intuition – Trusting the gut & first impressions

• Reversals – Navigating shadow and unexpected meanings

• Uncovering the Story – Reading between the lines

• The Reader’s Code – Ethics, professionalism, and responsibility

• The Tarot’s Light – Finding guidance and hope in the cards

03 - The Adeptive

Module

Deepening interpretation through symbolism, shadow work, and advanced spreads.

Focus: Esoteric systems, deeper meanings, and self-transformation.

Weeks 13–18:

• Kabbalah, Astrology & Tarot – Esoteric correspondences

• Alchemy in Tarot – Self-transformation and the Magnum Opus

• Arcane Symbolism – A deep dive into tarot iconography

• Shadow Work in Tarot – Using the cards for healing and integration

• The Tarot’s Mirror – Projection vs reflection in readings

• Advanced Spread Weaving – Complex readings and layout fluency

04 - Runes and Numerology

Module

Expanding your divinatory toolkit.

Focus: Runes, numerology, and final integration.

Weeks 19–22:

• Tarot Numerology – The hidden math of the Arcana

• Runes 101 – Elder Futhark symbols & meanings

• Runic Divination – Casting, interpretation, and pairing with tarot

• Integration – Blending tarot, runes, and numerology in practice

 

🧾 Final Assessment (Completed after all modules)

• Final Complex Reading – Demonstrating fluency and narrative skill

• Your Personal Spread – Design, perform, and explain your unique spread

• Tarot Philosophy Statement – What tarot means to you and how you use it

• Certification – The Mark of the Initiate
